Renew... Refresh... Refocus
"I often refer to my life as a merry-go-round. As you stand back and gaze at the circus ride, it appears so beautiful, well-structured and controlled. But as the ride begins, your horse starts rising & falling, the circling movement becomes dizzying and you are anxious for the ride to end. Stepping off, you feel a little woozy and out of control.
I imagine your life feels like a circus ride at times too. As a working mother of two teenage sons, it seems like my days can be dizzying & even overwhelming. As a homemaker, my house can appear pretty put together but if you look closely you are sure to see plenty of dust and cobwebs. Then as a wife, I would really like to appear beautiful but many times I look (and act) more like the circus clown when my husband arrives home from work than that woman in Proverbs 31.
As this “merry go round” of life seems to spin faster and faster out of control for many women, it is my desire and passion that women know the transforming love and freeing peace that can only be found in Jesus Christ.
This year's theme for Women’s Ministry is Renew…Refresh….Refocus…transforming to His likeness from one generation to the next. Don’t you think we all need to renew our personal relationship with Christ; refresh with the word of God and refocus our life to be more like Him? In Women’s ministry we not only want to do this for women your age and mine, but for women of every age. In 20 years, it is our hope the women of PCC can say, “remember when our lives felt like a merry-go-round….Oh, yeah, that’s before we “who with unveiled faces, were transformed into His likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord…” (2 Corinthians 3:18)
It is the desire of Women’s Ministries that you will allow God to transform your life."
